I'm glad the schedule has given the staff a chance to work out the kinks in the bottom-6. Should make it rather clear who is lacking and who can step up once things start to sour. Seeing how ineffective Granlund has been, how inconsistent Khaira has been and how polarizing Archibald has been early should open a lot of doors for the Condors. Some number of Gambardella, Currie, Benson and Marody could be patrolling the bottom-6 alongside Nygard, Sheahan and Russell before too long.

Keep Benson in the AHL to build scoring confidence up until at least January. If an opportunity arises, a spot next to Nuge and Neal might be a solid fit.

The bottom 6 are not getting it done but even the top 6 needed to be better in the Philly game.

I'd like to see the guys play for the Tender tonight and maybe quiet some of the doubters.

There is no question a 40% PP isn’t going to continue, but if the PK stays good they’ll still win a fair share of games. Eventually the bottom six will contribute, we just assume they won’t and the Oilers will fall flat in their face.

As Tippet said, they may not be putting the puck in the net, but they are keeping it out in various roles, which is something that hasn’t happened in a couple of years. They have had some chances, but not capitalized on them, I’d be more concerned if they were bleeding chances, but they seem to be holding on for now. Maybe it is just finding the right mix and the offence will come.

Further, the expected goal rates don't exactly paint the picture of a bottom-6 that's getting to the hard areas. I think they ought to make a trade or two to add a bit of proven bottom-6 scoring before the top-6 cools off.

Something like Russell for Helm or Perreault, Gagner and a pick for Pageau and Puljujarvi for Wood and a pick.
